Motor Mounting

The Bag Motor

The original film drive components - typically a variable speed gearbox, operator adjustment levers and perhaps a mechanical bag registration system are removed. They are replaced by the single motor/gearbox assembly with its integrated encoder.

At the rear of the cabinet you can see the assembly simply mounted to the floor of the machine and driving the input shafts of three film transport rollers as well as the output conveyor on the far left. This image represents perhaps the most complex type of machine, many machines have a simple single or perhaps two shafts.
